Product DescriptionClimbing bean 'Algarve' (Phaseolus vulgaris) is a vigorous, rapidly growing variety which produces a high yield of long, tasty, stringless pods (approx. 26-28 cm). ?Algarve? beans are wonderfully tender, even if picked late. Excellent for deep-freezing. With climbing beans a large crop can be harvested from a small area. These beans can be trained up canes, gauze, netting or special bean wigwams. Place the canes in rows spaced approximately 70 cm apart and plant 4 to 5 beans at each cane. Wait until the threat of night frost has passed before planting the beans to ensure a successful harvest. |
