The Japan East Rail Pass covers metropolitan Tokyo and many popular destinations in Eastern Japan including: Nagano- Niigata- Sendai- Morioka- Misawa and Akita. The pass is available in two classes: Green or Ordinary- for 5 or 10 days of consecutive travel- starting from your first day of travel. Alternatively a flexible 4 day pass is available being valid for any 4 non-consecutive days within a one month period from the date the pass is issued.
