Dating back to 1883, the historic NH Doelen Hotel Amsterdam is one of the oldest in the city and for years was the hotel of choice for visiting celebrities, due to its style and central location between Dam Square and Rembrandtplein.Fabulous views over the River Amstel can be enjoyed from the elegant restaurant and it even has its own private jetty. Rooms are traditional and vary in size due to the shape of the building. Several of the hotel's original featureshave been retained and on one floor part of the wall on which Rembrandt painted his famous Nightwatch can be seen.
