Product Description

Dynamic winemaker, Pieter du Toit runs Kloovenburg with his wife, Annalene and their four young sons ... who all lend a hand in the vineyard. Founded in 1958 by Pieter's father, the estate is set against the beautiful Kasteel mountain - an enviable hot-spot for grape growing due to its abundant sunshine and cool mountain breezes. World-renowned for their reds (Pieter's Shiraz was recently given five stars by Decanter!), and this Burgundian-like Chardonnay is fast catching up! This spectacular vintage won a Silver medal at South Africa's national wine awards - and is even stocked by Harrods! "Ripe and complex with integrated citrus, dried peach and nuances of roasted nuts on the nose follow through in a smooth and superbly structured palate. Carefully oaked to balance the juicy fruit. The finish is sensual and the aftertaste lingering." (Pieter du Toit)
