Part of the deal for getting this beautifully concentrated Cabernet Sauvignon at such a great price is that we won't mention the winery's name ... and make no mistake it's one of the best in Australia's premium McLaren Vale. Winemaker Ross Shepherd has taken pure Cabernet grapes from both McLaren Vale, cooler Clare Valley and the Padthaway region ... complementing the rich fruit with a touch of oak-ageing. Lovely, dense red boasting a concentrated blackcurrant, leafy mint nose, and lipsmacking mouthfuls of ripe, chocolaty cassis flavours ... well structured, with rounded, chewy tannins.
