Winemakers here are enjoying the freedom to experiment with grape varieties previously never seen in the region. And with a harvest nearly a month later than the previous year, there's plenty of concentrated flavour to show for it. Deep garnet colour with powerfully concentrated aromas of blackcurrant, liqourice and nutmeg aromas. Quaffable cassis flavours with elegant tannins and a long, fruity finish. Ideal served with roast beef, stews and fine cheeses. |
