Reacquisition time is 1 second.The dedicated GPS card and antennae comprises a 20-channel global positioning system (GPS) receiver in a compact surface-mountable module. Using the fast and deep search capabilities of SiRFstarIII, it features high sensitivity and high gain. The GPS card uses the ultra low power GSC3f/LP single chip GPS engine.The GPS card receives all of its data, power and RF signals through its surface mount pads. Being lead-free, it complies with the European Union's RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) directive. Its EMI/EMC shield not only lets it meet FCC/CE standards, but also assures peak performance in noisy environments.Supporting multiple reference frequencies, the GSC3f/LP RF section is a highly integrated RF implemntation. The GSC3f/LP supports SiRFDRive dead reckoning technology for enhanced positioning accuracy and availablity. This product has been tested and validated on Dell™ systems.
